Helyx Health sees patients by appointment rather than on a walk-in basis, so that each visit has a dedicated block of time for assessment and discussion. Requests can be made online, by phone, or through the patient portal.
Our care coordination team will learn about what you are looking for and help identify a clinician whose training, scope, and current services may be a good fit. Final scheduling depends on clinical fit, licensure, appointment format, insurance or payment arrangements, and availability.

Do you accept walk-in appointments?
Helyx Health does not accept walk-in appointments. A mental health or sleep consultation needs a dedicated block of time for a thorough clinical assessment, and clinicians reserve specific hours so that each patient has the appointment time set aside for them.
Helyx Health provides scheduled outpatient care. If your needs would be better supported by a different specialty or level of care, our team will let you know and, when possible, help clarify an appropriate next step.
How can I schedule an appointment?
There are three ways to reach the scheduling team:
What are the steps for scheduling an appointment?
Scheduling begins with a brief screening conversation to understand the primary reason for the visit. You will then receive intake paperwork to complete before the appointment, covering health history, current symptoms, and consent for treatment.
Once those forms have been submitted and reviewed, the team confirms an initial consultation, where you and the clinician discuss your concerns and agree on a starting point for care.
Do I need a referral to make an appointment?
A referral from a primary care physician is not required in most cases, and self-referrals are welcome. Some insurance plans — HMOs in particular — may require one to authorise reimbursement, so it is worth confirming your behavioural health benefits with your carrier before the first visit.
If another clinician has referred you, letting the team know allows your care to be coordinated and relevant clinical information to be shared.
What information do I need when scheduling?
Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment online?
Appointment times vary with clinician availability and the format of care, so the scheduling team can explain what is open when you contact them. Patients in ongoing therapy or medication management often arrange several sessions ahead, which supports continuity of care.
Established patients can manage appointments through the secure patient portal. Advance notice is required to cancel or reschedule; the team will confirm the current notice period and any associated policy when your appointment is booked.
